blog image

Environmental Clearance is mandatory approval from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) or State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) before starting certain projects.

Environmental Clearance (EC)

  • Mandatory approval under EIA Notification, 2006 for certain industries/projects.

  • Issued by MoEF&CC / SEIAA based on project size and category.

  • Ensures environmental impacts are assessed and mitigated before starting operations.

GPCB / SPCB NOC

  • Consent to Establish (CTE): Required before construction/setup of the unit.

  • Consent to Operate (CTO): Required before starting operations.

  • Issued by State Pollution Control Board (e.g., GPCB in Gujarat).

  • Ensures compliance with air, water, and noise pollution norms.

Waste Management Compliance

  • Proper handling, storage, treatment, and disposal of:

    • Solid Waste

    • Hazardous Waste

    • E-waste / Plastic Waste / Bio-medical Waste (as applicable)

  • Authorization from SPCB required.

  • Maintain records, manifests, and submit periodic returns.

If you want, I can tailor this industry-specific (manufacturing, construction, pharma, MSME, etc.) or convert it into a proposal / tender / compliance note.
